Who We Are
Founded by a diverse team of scholars, professionals and concerned activists
The Horn Center, led by a group of experienced practitioners, former diplomats, academicians and local Somali activists, promotes research, advances policy debate, builds capacity, forms networks and generates ideas on such varied matters as governance improvements, economic and social development, peace research, dialogue and community cohesion and integration across communities and regions of Somalia.
As an indigenous Somali institution that is autonomous and non partisan, the Horn Center brings a distinctive contribution to the contemporary policy debate and political direction in Somalia. The Horn Center as a Think Do Tank aspires to have a positive imp act on the course of positive execution and advancement of the seemingly intractable political process of Somalia through meaningful policy engagement and through the contribution of evidence based policy options and sound program interventions.
The Horn Center, founded by a diverse team of scholars, professionals and concerned activists from across Somalia, was officially launched in November 2016.
